Reviews
This hotel is in a nice location and the rooms were small but comfortable. We were frustrated that our rooms were not ready by the 3p check-in time and staff were not particularly friendly nor helpful.
I've been staying at Hotel Chess since 2019 and I now consider it my home in Paris. I enjoy small, intimate hotels and Hotel Chess is exactly that. It is very private, the rooms are very silent, clean and comfortable and the staff is always very kind and accomodating. The location is unbeatable and the view to Apollo's lyre at the top of the Palais Garnier is the cherry on the cake . Overall, I feel very welcomed and safe at this hotel and I don't even consider staying anywhere else in Paris.
Our stay at The Chess Hotel was superb... the manager David was kind and generous, as were his team members Richie, Murtesa and Ruth who were always available and keen to make sure our stay was wonderful. They hosted a reception for guests on New Year's Eve offering complimentary champagne, wine and gifts for guests including chocolates and a panettone. Our room was nice with a King-sized bed and most importantly, quiet and peaceful. The breakfast buffet included a nice selection of smoked salmon, cheese, fruit salad, yogurts and hot foods. We very much look forward to our next visit to The Chess Hotel!
Small rooms. As always in Paris. But breakfast is very good. Also salmon on table. And if You go to Opera, very good location..5minutes to walk.
