I didn’t have the best stay. For the first two nights, the air conditioning wasn’t working, so the windows had to stay open. This meant a lot of noise from outside (fortunately I had earplugs) and a lot of mosquitoes. I woke up with many mosquito bites on my body. On the third night, they finally turned the air conditioning on, although it still seemed quite weak. Even so, it was much better because I could keep the windows closed. Another downside was the shared facilities. On the third floor, there was only one toilet and two showers for the men’s bathroom. Shampoo and body wash were not provided. There was also no free luggage storage—you have to pay to use the lockers. The cleanliness of the bathrooms and toilets could also be improved, as they didn’t seem to be cleaned often enough during my stay.
The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. The bunk beds are a little high, but as a result, you have a lot of space in your bunk. There are private lockers in the rooms for your stuff (need your own lock), and each bunk has a curtain for privacy. I'd recommend getting the large breakfast.
Recently stayed here for a first time hostel experience and it was overall good. The room was a bit small but enough for 6 females. Storage was pretty good too. The location is close to public transportation just a bit far from the city center. The only con for me was the shared bathrooms. It had a constant smell and barely anywhere to place my things. The shower area is extremely small and only one of the showers on the first floor had a small stool to place your things the other had nothing but 2 hooks so it was uncomfortable. The breakfast was limited but was good enough for me. I loved the communal areas though the music was good and it felt like a good vibe.
Without doubt one of the best hotels in Europe. 1. They have a lift! 2. The view from the rooftop is gorgeous + a great spot to relax 3. The lobby + reception area is long and quite comfortable to just sit and work. 4. The beds are big are quite comfortable It is situated in the quiet locality of Belleville, the location is quite prime with bus and metro stops nearby. Lots of restaurants and good cafes around the hostel as well.
The experience was very nice. The front desk workers were very sweet and helpful. The location for me was incredible, the parks nearby in Belleville were perfect for a walk and morning jogs. The room was also better than expected. The bed was comfortable and the blanket, pillow, sheets smelled very clean. The only complaint I have was for a female guest that kept brushing her hair in the bathroom and leaving it on the ground. The cleaning crew cleaned very good but this despicable guest was just ridiculously inconsiderate. Let's try to be better guests, for everyone's sake!
