I liked the location, it was quite central and safe. I had a private room and the beside tables were both broken. The bed also felt kind of broken but was alright. It was clean enough and the AC worked. The breakfast was simple but worth the cheap price. I would stay here again in a private room as long it was under 90 euros.
We were in a 4 person room for 3 nights during the heatwave. The room was very nice but quite stuffy and most of the windows didn't open and the AC wasn't very powerful. Otherwise the facilities were good and clean. Every worker was very helpful and welcoming. Although slightly out of the city it was close to 2 major metro lines making it easy to get into the city and to major attractions. Overall a good hostel for the price you pay.
The air conditioning in this place is absolutely criminal. I couldn’t even open the window because it was nailed shut. Either fix the air conditioning immediately or stop advertising it as one of your room facilities. To make matters worse, I was given the wrong room twice and even walked in on another couple. The receptionist didn’t offer so much as an apology. The room itself was tired and falling apart, although it was reasonably clean. There was no TV, and breakfast was extremely basic: French bread, cheese, ham, cereal (with only whole milk), tomatoes, and cucumber. If you wanted eggs, you had to pay extra. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not, at least not if the forecast is 25°C or above. The only real positive is the location. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the metro, a pharmacy, restaurants, and bars.
My stay at Generator Paris was truly unforgettable. It was my first time visiting Paris, and the kindness of the staff made the experience even more meaningful for me. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and I especially want to thank Maria, Omiiee, and Saljii. They were absolutely wonderful and made me feel so comfortable during my stay. Their warmth and helpfulness made such a difference. The food was also amazing! Omiiee recommended the nacho fries and they quickly became my favorite thing on the menu — I’m so glad I tried them. My room was beautiful with an incredible view, everything was clean and worked perfectly, and the showers were always hot and refreshing. It was the perfect place to come back to after exploring the city. I’m so grateful for such a special first experience in Paris. I will absolutely be coming back and staying here again when I visit. I had an amazing stay at Generator Hotel Paris, and a huge part of that was thanks to Hikmet. From the moment I arrived, Hikmet went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely kind—always with a smile and a positive attitude. He took the time to answer all my questions, gave great local tips, and made sure everything during my stay went smoothly. You can really tell he cares about guests and takes pride in his work. Staff like Hikmet truly make a difference and elevate the entire experience. Big thanks to Hikmet and the Generator Paris team—I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others!
