We had a lovely stay at Hôtel Le Relais Montmartre for a long weekend in Paris. The hotel is in an good location, perfect for exploring Montmartre, while also offering easy access to central Paris and the main sights. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay.
Extremely disappointing experience. I booked a room through Booking.com for my girlfriend. Shortly after making the reservation, I received a message stating that my payment had been declined. Believing the reservation had failed, I immediately made the same reservation again to ensure she had a room. When my girlfriend arrived at the hotel, the receptionist informed her that there were two reservations under her name. She immediately explained the situation, and the receptionist told her not to worry because it would be taken care of internally. More than a month later, I discovered that I had been charged for both reservations. I first contacted the hotel and was told they had only received one payment and that I should contact Booking.com. Booking.com then contacted the hotel on my behalf, after which I was informed that the hotel refused any refund because they claimed both reservations were valid, they had kept two rooms available, and that it was now too late to do anything. This is completely inconsistent with what my girlfriend was told at check-in. The hotel was made aware of the mistake immediately, yet they are now denying any knowledge of it and refusing to take any responsibility. I never intended to book two rooms for the same person on the same night. The duplicate reservation only happened because I was informed that the original payment had failed. Very disappointing customer service and an unwillingness to help resolve what was clearly an honest mistake. I cannot recommend this hotel based on how this situation has been handled.
We had a lovely stay at this charming little hotel. The location is excellent and close to everything you need for a trip to Paris (metro, supermarket, cafés, and restaurants). It is within walking distance of both the Moulin Rouge and the Sacré-Cœur, yet on a small side street, making it pleasantly quiet at night. The bed was super comfortable and we slept very well. Our request for two individual beds was granted without any problems. The room was naturally on the smaller side, as is common in Montmartre, but it was beautifully decorated, felt cozy, and thoughtfully designed and the AC came in handy. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise and exceeded our expectations. There was an impressive selection of high-quality food: fresh fruit, various coffee specialties, juices, delicious cheeses and ham, smoked salmon, fresh baguettes, croissants, cereals, yogurt, egg variations and much more. Overall, a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and authentic stay in Paris. We would happily return.
Fantastic location on a quiet side street. Close to Moulin Rouge, but you'd never know for how peaceful it was! I appreciated the complimentary water in the room. Shower/bath was great with plenty of hot water. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Located in a wonderful area to indulge in flânerie through the winding streets of Montmartre, with excellent cafes and restaurants away from the hectic tourist areas. I highly recommend Hôtel Le Relais Montmartre, and I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was a wonderful home base for our week in Paris. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and the front desk was always welcoming and willing to help. We really appreciated the proximity to the Metro station and to all kinds of restaurants and activities in Montmartre. The breakfast in the basement was also very fresh and tasty, and so convenient. We were definitely happy we chose to stay at this hotel.
