The ideal spot for a free panoramic view of Paris! It is located right on the rooftop of this wonderful shopping mall. The mall itself is fantastic and houses all the luxury brands you could possibly look for. It is the perfect place to enjoy some high-end shopping and then head up to take in a breathtaking, cost-free view of the city. Highly recommended!
My wife and I visited the rooftop terrace of Galeries Lafayette during our vacation in Paris, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. This incredible space offers a spectacular panoramic view of the entire Parisian urban skyline, and we were thrilled to get a wonderful, clear view of the iconic Eiffel Tower right from the deck. What makes this rooftop even more special is the brilliant setup, featuring plenty of comfortable deckchairs where you can sit back, relax, and watch major matches and events on a massive LED wall screen. Combined with the excellent refreshment options available, it creates the perfect, vibrant atmosphere to enjoy a drink, soak in the sun, and appreciate the beauty of Paris all at once, making it a highly recommended and unforgettable stop.
Galeries Lafayette is definitely worth visiting, both for the beautiful architecture and for the unique Paris atmosphere.. There are lots of people, but the place still feels very elegant and iconic, especially with all the luxury stores. One thing I really liked was how smoothly you can walk from one section and store to another. The rooftop viewpoint is also amazing and free! You just need to go all the way up by escalator or elevator. The view over Paris was still absolutely worth it..
Our half-term escape via Eurostar to Paris was a perfectly busy blend of art, culture, indulgent food, and a touch of luxury. Soaked up every elegant boulevard in sight. Despite ominous forecasts, there wasn’t a single drop of rain — clearly Paris approved of our itinerary. A short, fabulous, slightly frenetic getaway that delivered on every level.
The Galeries Lafayette Rooftop is a fantastic spot to visit for sweeping views of Paris, and best of all, it’s completely free. There’s no ticket required, making it an easy and worthwhile stop while exploring the city. To get there, you take the escalator or elevator up to the 6th floor and then walk up a short flight of stairs to access the rooftop. Once you’re up there, you’re rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view over Paris, including iconic rooftops and landmarks. The space feels open and relaxed, and it’s also very safe for kids, with sturdy railings all around the perimeter. Whether you’re stopping by briefly or lingering to take photos, it’s a great, no-stress way to enjoy a stunning city view.
