Food was great. 10 hour chuck roast that reminded me of grandma’s pot roast if she grew up in the Cordon Blue, a truffle and morel ravioli that felt both meaty and unctuous. Ask the owner and operator what to pair with the meal. We had a Rhône Sauvignon that was crisp and minerally and complemented the ravioli. Get on this place!
A delightful farm-to-table bistro on a lovely side street in the lower 9th that honors both tradition with a modern feel in places. What was great was not just the food which changes with the ingredients available but that it was not overrun with tourists. It seemed also to be blessed as two priests even dined next to us. The specialty is slow cooked meats and my chuck steak did not disappoint. Rich, melt in your mouth, with carrots and mushrooms and a potato dauphinois. A delightful blonde ale on tap, too. A great way to eat in the area but escape the noise!
Had a lovely dinner at this cosy bistro with personable, helpful staff and delicious French bistro cuisine. The host was pitch perfect in their recommendation of a red wine for my partner. Everything tasted so good, my highlights were the onion tart and the Apple tarte tatin, and the beef casserole was perfect on a rainy cold night. Definitely book on public holidays and weekends.
Went here for dinner on my last day in Paris, not only was the service incredible but the food was impeccable. Was looking for a simple steak frites and a glass of wine, amazing side street views. Highly recommend!
Excellent dinner at Bistrot Rougemont. Attentive and professional service with great food and wine recommendations, and English communication was no problem. Authentic French cuisine with very good quality — the beef stew is a must-try. Convenient location and very good value for money. Highly recommended.
