Incredibly delicious! Highly recommend! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and the food did not disappoint. Only reason the atmosphere wasn’t a 5 is that I went during the Paris heat wave, and while they did have some air conditioning, it was still quite warm. But still definitely worth the trip!
The people are all friendly; I had Medhi as my server and found him very polite. I got the 3-course weekday lunch menu and it was so worth it. The taste was innovative and the look was artsy.
Passionné offers high-level fusion cuisine led by a young, talented, and innovative chef. The creativity and technical skill behind each dish are evident, with bold flavor combinations and strong contrasts that aim to surprise and challenge the palate. However, on several occasions these contrasts felt excessive, overpowering the ingredients themselves and diminishing the overall tasting experience. The service also leaves room for improvement. While professional in appearance, there were several small mistakes throughout the meal, and not all members of the staff came across as particularly welcoming or friendly. In a restaurant aspiring to the highest standards, attention to detail is essential. For example, I believe cutlery should be replaced with every course, which is a basic expectation in a fine dining establishment of this caliber. Another disappointing aspect was the Sunday dining format. Guests are presented with only one tasting menu and virtually no choice. While this is certainly the restaurant’s prerogative, it would be fairer to communicate this clearly in advance and offer greater transparency when reservations are confirmed. Overall, Passionné is a restaurant with ambition, creativity, and undeniable talent in the kitchen. However, some elements of the service and the overall guest experience still need refinement to fully match the quality and aspirations of the cuisine.
I was very excited to try this highly rated Parisian restaurant that is Michelin rated. Honestly I've never left anything less than five stars for any Michelin restaurant I've ever visited around the globe. We were initially welcomed warmly but then rushed asking without time to explore the wine menu and ask questions. Before when you let our server disappeared and we were being served our first course. The first two or three courses were amazing. I have no complaints. I do have a complaint about the food which will come later. The first issue I had was the drinks. We had a St. Germain as well as a champagne which were fine, but then we ordered a margarita. You should not have a drink on the menu if you do not know how to make it. The margarita was loaded with triple Sec and salt and was essentially undrinkable. I understand this isn't Mexico or even the United States, but please take it off the menu if you're going to be serving drinks that my teenage nephew can make better. Everything after that went fine. Until later in the course. Around the 6th course we had a lamb dish. While the lamb was delicious, there was a large piece of cartilage that was bisecting the meat. I had to cut it off of the cartilage/ bone, but unfortunately they gave me a knife that was no sharper than a butter knife and I essentially had to gnaw it off of the cartilage. These aren't really big issues, but when you have a restaurant with such eye reputation such as this, it is really important for visitors to understand what you are getting. Maybe this place has gotten complacent and has got some work to do. On top of that, the staff was quite condescending, and very superficially friendly. Overall, the experience was overpriced given the product that was received. No regrets, however would definitely not go back. There are way more places to have amazing food in Paris.
Awesome dinner experience. A Michelin star worthy restaurant. All dishes were excellent. It’s a 7-course meal and everything we had was delicious. Its a romantic restaurant with a minimalist style, a bar with dark blue mosaics, dark walls and floors and stylish lighting. It exudes Japanese elegance. The chef Satoshi Horiuchi is Japanese and the dishes are a combination of Japanese and French which is amazing! Staff was welcoming, attentive and very informative about the food offerings. We had a fantastic meal and experience. Being so close to the kitchen was very interesting, Tasting menu only in the evenings and a deposit taken at reservation.
