We had a wonderful stay at this cute, small hotel located on Ile Saint Louis. The location is perfect for Paris as it is close to everything (Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Marias, Saint Chapelle, and multiple Metro stops) and yet feels quieter than any other Paris area since it is on the small island right beside Notre Dame. While the rooms are somewhat small and there is not a lot of storage space in the rooms, neither of those issues took away from an otherwise excellent stay. Staff was friendly, professional and very helpful and the breakfast, albeit a somewhat limited menu, was delicious! Great air conditioning too which came in handy as the weather was a little unexpectedly warm. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I was excited to stay here because of the location. The hotel has a charming lobby but my room was horrible. Historic or not it it was dated and small. Some of the furniture was kid size. The bed was comfortable but it was hard to open the curtains because the building across the way could see in. With the curtains closed the room was dark and the lighting poor. The bathroom was tiny and the shower also tiny. It would have been ok but the hand held shower head was cheap so if you used it as an overhead shower, water sprayed everywhere. The only redeeming part of the bathroom was a heated towel rack. The breakfast was in a basement room but it had charming decor. The menu was the same everyday and the server had to bring you everything: coffee, bread, yogurt, eggs etc and one morning it was so hectic that 3 people were running around and it was hard to get served. Yes, it’s on Ile St Louis which is a cute street with bunches of tourists moving about. I think the hotel is upcharging due to Notre Dame Cathedral being around the corner. For 3 nights I paid over 1200 euro which was way over priced for the accommodation. I wouldn’t rate it even as a 3 star. I was solo and I can’t imagine another person in the room with me, there would be no place for luggage. Such a shame that they take advantage. No I will not stay there again, I go to Paris ever year and this is by far the worst hotel that I have stayed for the price.
This is an exquisite boutique hotel. It was my second time to stay and even better than the first. Centrally located on one of two islands in Paris. Bridges connect you to everything. A short walk away from Notre Dame. The hotel staff and breakfast are highlights. Alex will go above and beyond her job to assist you. Yann is knowledgeable and will help to make your stay perfect. Take all of their recommendations! They were all incredible!
I highly recommend this hotel. Our week long stay was delightful. It was extremely comfortable, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant, and the location can’t be beat. A special treat was that there was delicious cake in the lobby every afternoon, greeting us after a day of touring Paris. This will be our go to hotel in Paris.
