This is an amazing property. Our room overlooking the Versailles Palace gardens was an unexpected plus. This property is fancy, well run, and a great location to both food options and the Palace. Our room was beautiful with many fine architectural touches. Truly loved it. They treat HH Diamond members really well. We got a meaningful room upgrade and a spectacular free breakfast.
Beautiful property, stunning grounds, and an excellent location next to Versailles. Most aspects of our stay were enjoyable. Unfortunately, a persistent cigarette smoke odor prevented this from being a five-star experience. The smell was most noticeable in the room entryway and bathroom. As non-smokers, it was very uncomfortable. Every time we entered the room, the odor was immediately noticeable. We contacted the front desk multiple times and were told that an air purifier would be delivered. We stayed in the room waiting for several hours, but it never arrived. Eventually, a staff member brought a fragrance spray, which only temporarily masked the odor rather than addressing the issue. If air purifiers are not available, it would be better to communicate that upfront rather than having guests wait for hours. We stayed at several other hotels in Paris during this trip and did not experience this issue elsewhere. While cigarette smoke may occasionally be difficult to avoid, a luxury hotel should have a more effective way to assist guests who are sensitive to smoke. Providing air purifiers upon request would be a simple and practical solution. The room also felt somewhat warm during the recent heat wave, although the smoke odor was by far the more significant concern. Overall, the property itself is beautiful, but the room condition and handling of this issue fell short of what I would expect from a Waldorf Astoria.
I stayed at the hotel to celebrate our anniversary in October 2025. We spent one night there, and it was not our first stay. We were upgraded, and the reception team was amazing. We dined at the restaurant, where both the food and the team were excellent. The duty manager even approached our table to congratulate us, which was a truly luxurious touch. I really appreciated the gesture. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It was such a beautiful experience, and it definitely won’t be the last time. I will come back for sure.
Wonderful hotel all around. We were greeted promptly at the door and our luggage was taken inside. The front desk was helpful as well as the concierge. Our room was gorgeous with a little patio and very nice seperate tub and shower. Perfectly soft bed and pillows that were dreamy to keep on after many days of hard beds at other properties. The breakfast spread is huge and everything was good and fresh. The locations is just outside of the gardens of versailles which was perfect for us. I wish we were able to stay longer. This hotel is something we look forward to coming back to.
