Americans keep in mind: this spa skipped the memo on air conditioning. From the second we walked in to the blessed moment we stumbled back out into breathable air, the thermostat never dipped below ~85°F (29°C) - which, for reference, is also a reasonable temperature for proofing bread dough, not receiving a deep tissue massage. The staff, bless them, were warm in every sense of the word; friendly, accommodating, and the facility itself was spotless. Pro tip: you have to buy spa time as a package to access the massage, so if you're there strictly for the massage (like we were), book the shortest time slot possible. Every additional minute is just extra time to marinate. The steam room and sauna were only slightly hotter than the rest of the building, so at least they were being consistent with their "everything is a sauna" ethos. Pool was great. The cold plunge room, however, was a genuine oasis: properly, gloriously cold, and easily the MVP of the visit after sweating through basically every other square foot of the place. Water, drinks, and snacks were all great too. The massage itself, heat aside, was genuinely excellent, and the therapists definitely clocked that we were two seconds from becoming a puddle because they kindly wheeled in a fan to keep us conscious. Between the generous slathering of oil, the fan, and the heat, it really gave the "chicken being basted and prepped for the oven" vibe, if you're into that sort of massage. 3 stars — solid service, lovely people, forgot to invent air conditioning.
Honestly one of the best spa experiences I've had in Paris. I went in needing a proper reset and left feeling like a completely different person. The place is spotlessly clean, which immediately puts you at ease. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive the entire time. You never felt lost or unsure about what to do next. They had everything handled. The scrub was absolutely incredible. My skin felt so fresh and renewed afterwards. Every single treatment was done with real care and attention. The space itself is beautiful and the whole atmosphere is just so calming. You really do forget about everything the moment you're in there. I will 100% be back. Cannot recommend it enough.
O’Kari Marais was one of THE highlights of our trip to Paris. From the outside, it looks sleek and understated, but you truly will not believe what’s behind those doors. Once inside, the entire space opens into an immersive, beautifully designed hammam and spa environment with stone and tile finishes throughout, warm lighting, pool, steam rooms, sauna, an ice cave, and a real sense of atmosphere. What stood out most was the authenticity and confidence of the experience. This was not a generic “luxury spa body polish” — it was a true hammam ritual performed with professionalism, intention, and skill. The scrub was phenomenal. My husband had never experienced a hammam before and left saying, “THAT was a spa day” and “they gave me a whole bath,” which honestly says it all. The staff made the experience feel comfortable, grounded, and completely unpretentious, even for first-timers. There was a sense that the people performing the treatments truly understood the tradition and rhythm of the ritual, which made all the difference. If you are looking for a polished but authentic Paris hammam experience rather than a generic luxury spa, I highly recommend O’Kari Marais. We will absolutely return on a future trip to Paris.
I had a wonderful experience at O’Kari Marais Hammam & Spa. The staff were incredibly kind, gentle, and welcoming, which made the experience even more relaxing. The place is beautiful and spotlessly clean, and you truly feel cared for from start to finish. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed — I would definitely recommend it.
