Description
Start at the Panthéon, a grand 18th-century building designed by Jacques-Germain Soufflot. Once a church, it now serves as the resting place of more than seventy figures who shaped French culture and history, including Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, and Marie Curie. Wander through the vast dome, descend into the crypt, and learn about the building’s transformation from a place of worship to a national monument. Between April and October, climb to the upper terraces for open views over the rooftops of Paris. Then step aboard the Batobus to explore the city from the river. These low, glass-roofed boats stop at nine convenient points along the Seine, close to the Eiffel Tower, Musée d’Orsay, Louvre, Notre-Dame, and Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Get on and off as often as you like during the day, allowing you to set your own pace. Inside, the boats are bright and comfortable, with heating for colder days and a small selection of snacks and drinks available. A full loop takes about two hours, with boats arriving roughly every 15–20 minutes.Includes
