The rooms and facilities are great, really beautiful. But the staff, although courteous, are unhelpful and possessed the clichéd french customer service attitude of couldn't care less. After claiming on the website that check in is available at 3pm and charging €100 gir earlier check in. We found at 3 that the room was not ready. Similarly on other days by 3pm, the room was not cleaned. This is poor leadership and management. The hotel also send multiple notices of additional charges for other services instead of teaching their staff to be charming. If the cheaper Accor hotels like Ibis had more charming and welcoming staff. The hotel is phys8cally nice, but I definitely won't stay there again. Maybe Accor's senior management should send either a mystery guest or a management audit team to sort this place out.

We visited when it was just recently refurbished. Surprisingly spacious especially for Paris. Reception and checkin was par excellence, genuine and really caring. Aimmee (Amy) was fantastic. We had a room plus sofa bed for our kid which was spacious, clean and very well maintained. Love their cocktail hour with courtesy tea, macarons and other sweets.goo location and I would definitely visit again. Price/quality - for Paris hard to find and very pleased with it.

We have stayed once before at Hotel L’Échiquier, this time my wife stayed there with two girlfriends. They all thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive - nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were very quiet, spotless clean and the beds were very comfy making it a truly comfortable experience. The Nespresso machine in the rooms is a lovely touch and provides a great start to each day. We know where to stay in Paris and will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at L’Échiquier Opéra Paris – MGallery and truly enjoyed every moment. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were comfortable, very clean, and well maintained with excellent housekeeping. We also loved the beautiful interior design of the hotel — elegant and full of character. Breakfast was fantastic: delicious, varied, and made with high-quality products. The pastries were especially amazing. During our stay we celebrated a birthday, and the hotel surprised us with such a thoughtful and lovely congratulation. It made our stay even more special and memorable. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful experience. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

Friendly staff at the reception, beautiful evening at the bar Le 38 with live singer on Valentins Day, tasteful interior reminiscent of the 1920s without overdoing. There is a feeling of intimacy compared to hotels with a modern layout. We loved the original old style elevator (there is also a new one). The breakfast is all worth enjoying with a beautiful atmosphere from the decoration, from the busy, friendly staff and from the the offerings - makes you stay longer, like in a bistro. It all fits together nicely. The location feels embedded right in the middle of local live, away from mass tourism but still you are in the heart of Paris. It feels like at an address you wouldn't spread but recommend to friends with good taste only. Despite sharing this, I hope the hotel is not overrun by noisy tourism.
