I stayed at this hotel for one week. The hotel is very quiet, clean, and well-organized. It is located in a safe area. The lady working at the reception always welcomed me with a smile, and most importantly, although I arrived one hour early, I was allowed to check in to my room earlier.

Very small rooms, and full reception area under renovation so felt smaller again. Noisy with works going on.. Staff where lovely. I just wished they told us before our stay. I would have changed hotel.

The location of the hotel was amazing. I go to Paris every year around Christmas and New Year’s Year, so I know what location is good. I am a returning Mercure client, I am used to the full 4 star service of Mercure. In this hotel there are such bug differences which I was not aware of, for example the superior rooms that I booked did not have a coffee machine in the room, no bathroom products such as: vanity kit, body lotion, shower cap… There was water refill option… And do not dare to ask the lady RADHIA anything, she was zo mean, unprofessional, unhelpful and even a liar. My first night I was amazed by the huge differences of Mercure, I did not have a vanity kit with me and asked Radhia if the could provide me some…she said to me to go and ask another hotel, beside their building. And she had none in het hotel. The next day Camille arranged this for me…just to take a test on Radhia, I asked for it again the 2dn evening and again she was lying that they did not have any of these products. At thus point I was shocked of this treatment, it felt so unpleasant and not kids at all. In a hotel you want to feel at home safe and wanted. You pay a huge amount to sleep in such a place. The other persons such as Camille, Benjamin and Deborah were very kind and pleasant!

I shall start with the positives - generally speaking, the members of staff are very helpful and friendly. Extra gold star goes to the gentleman who looks after the breakfast room at the weekends (at least this was the case during my stay), who was very cheerful, kind and always there to help or just exchange a couple of sentences. It's always nice to start the day with a smile. I also liked the toiletteries and it's nice to have a choice of pillows. Now the reasons for my 3-star review. This hotel has rooms at different stages of renovation. When I asked for my room to be changed for a more spacious one with a bathtub, of the same category of course, I was told that they are fully booked. A quick internet search revealed that this is not true, but nevermind. The housekeeping was a bit hit and miss, one day there was no bath mat, then a mug was left by the kettle for a few days, the minibar and tea/coffee not replenished. A piece of advice - bring earplugs just in case the room next to you is occupied and you want to sleep. The walls are just ever so slightly thicker than cardboard, so I involuntarily heard all conversations and gatherings that happened next door. I was lucky that during my 10-night stay, somehow the room next to me, despite the full occupancy of the hotel, must have been empty for a couple of nights as it was peaceful.

Good hotel. Rooms are fine. Breakfast is good. Windows can be opened for fresh air and because it is in a quiet street no noises. Unfortunately for a tall person, the bed is too short and the shower head ends up halfway my face...
