Montmartre Paris Suite
Paris
Avis
Excellent value for a clean and comfortable apart-hotel in a great location. Check in was rough, but after that, everything was great and the staff were super helpful and gracious. The beds are comfortable (including the sofa bed) and having two full bathrooms with the two bedroom suite was really nice.
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids and we stayed in one bedroom flat with a terrace at Montmartre Paris Suites. Our flat was modern and we really liked the bathroom and the separate toilet but the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable - we were regretting that we didn’t book 2 bed flat. Terrace of our basement flat was coming out onto a sort of courtyard like a well and there was a massive heat pump fitted above - just above our terrace - I am assuming this was a heat pump operating the whole cooling and heating system for the whole of this Aparthotel as it was very noisy and even with closed terrace doors this was very noisy at night . The heat pump was very very noisy, like a super noisy fridge compressor/ I imagine that flats without the terraces are less noisy, so I would recommend booking flats without terrace and coming onto the street side- with normal windows and no terrace . There is no central heating and no radiators in those flats - it’s air conditioning units which serve as heating units in winter, they blow warm air and this is also very noisy inside the flat. Also air in the flat becomes very dry in winter with that type of warm air heating system . Would we stay again at this property - yes because location was perfect and staff were all very helpful and always present if you needed help, but not in a basement flat with a terrace and definitely we’d be booking 2 bedroom flat so both our kids and us have our own beds - sofa bed was completely not functional, very flimsy and maybe fit for sleeping toddlers but not 2 adults or 2 older kids. Also our flat wasn’t very well cleaned at the start - there was loads of dust under the sofa bed and you don’t get any household kit- so you can’t sweep yourself, you have no hoover in the flat, no mop , no kitchen towel... We put up with this because we were staying only 3 nights and we were already grateful for early check in which we paid for - so obviously cleaner didn’t have as much time to clean the flat prior to our visit. Extra cleaning whilst you are staying in your flat costs 75 euros and that is expensive so we didn’t book it. As I say- we were there only 3 nights… I think the most important improvement would be providing more comfortable sofa bed in one bedroom flat, otherwise if you are 4 people then I do not recommend booking one bedroom flat with a sofa bed in this Aparthotel.
The location is convenient, but navigating the neighborhood with a stroller and a small child can be a bit challenging. Unfortunately, the crib I had requested in advance was not provided upon arrival. It was only brought after I followed up, but by then it was too late for my baby to use it that night. We also had to keep the air conditioning off because we felt a strong smell of mold when turned on, so we ended up using the electric heater instead. Additionally, the dishwasher had an unpleasant odor, likely due to needing a deep clean. That said, the apartment itself is nicely decorated and has a lot of potential to be a perfect place to stay with just a bit more attention to cleanliness and service. A special mention to the staff member who handled cleaning and was helping at reception—he was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.
