Don’t be an insta follower - this slightly lesser known club is a much better experience than its neighbors - amazing music and not everyone taking selfies! We go here every time we are in Paris - warm and friendly and great drinks. And if you close it down the bar next door is often still open with piano music 🎶
Absolutely phenomenal. We saw am excellent band as we did a few years ago on a previous visit. But what is mind-blowing is how many people this underground cave/theater will hold and how engaged the young audience was during the bands performance. Wish more audiences in Austin's live music venue would put down their phones and stop talking, and just listen to the music and cheer on the musicians!!
A fantastic spot for live music. They host jazz sessions in the evening, followed by jam sessions starting around 12:30 am and going late into the night (sometimes until 4:00 am). The music is excellent, the atmosphere is intimate and authentic, set in a beautiful “cave” right in the heart of the Quartier Latin. The space is small — around 50–60 people max — which makes the experience even more special and immersive. I definitely recommend it and actually prefer it to Caveau de la Huchette, which I find far too crowded 😇.
