Bouillon République was one of our favorite meals in Paris. The food was absolutely delicious and exactly what you hope for from classic French cuisine. We started with the bone marrow, fresh oysters, and leeks with vinaigrette, and every appetizer was excellent. For our main courses, we had the salmon tartare with herbs and fries, steak and fries, and pork with devil sauce served with baked potatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Spectacular food, great value, and a wonderful French dining experience. Highly recommended!
One of the best restaurants in Paris! We waited for almost two hours because we didn’t reserve a table. The wait was well worth it! We got 4 starters, 3 mains, one dessert, and drinks, all for less than €60 in total for two people! One of the best value for money in Paris. We understand how it withstood the test of time, and why people queue for it. The different starters were amazing! The ratatouille, salad, and french soup were some of the highlights for me. Even the mains were filling and satisfying. Would definitely visit this place again and would book a reservation in advance. The staff was very polite and accommodating even though it was a very busy evening for them. They’re used to having tourists and locals. Highly recommended!
A great restaurant if you want a meal with all the courses (appetizer, main, and dessert) with a reasonable price. though don't expect any major surprises—the food is solid and perfectly fine. We went in the afternoon, around 4 PM, so there was no wait. Ordering was quick, and the food arrived promptly, too. You can pay directly via an app using the QR code found at each table, which makes settling the bill incredibly easy. A overall good experience.
Food is fine, the place is nice (if you don't mind cramped/crowded spaces and a loud environment) . The staircase, the wooden decoration is cozy... The service... They do understand English, but it's so slow... At least the prices are affordable for a French restaurant for dinner in Paris. The onion soup was nice. The portions are relatively big. A main dish and a side dish or a starter are quite filling.
A busy restaurant at lunch on a weekday. It's better to have a reservation before you come. Thr service is friendly and efficient. The tables are set very tight together, so do not expect to carry on a private conversation. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is warm but feeling a bit rush. Food qualities are acceptable for the price. For a first time visitor to Paris, this would be a good French restaurant to eat at a reasonable price and quality.
