The shopping mall is beautiful, but it lacks basic facilities. It has only one set of elevators, which are extremely crowded and not suitable for people using wheelchairs or strollers. There are restrooms only on the sixth floor, and they are usually very busy. On the positive side, the terrace is beautiful and offers a great view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
My wife and I visited Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées during our vacation in Paris and it was an unforgettable experience that perfectly combines world-class shopping with breathtaking architecture. If you love fashion, this place is absolute paradise because the selection of world-renowned brands and famous designers is vast, offering everything your heart desires under one beautifully curated roof. However, what truly steals the show is the building itself, starting with the magnificent, lavish dome that stands as a stunning symbol of Parisian luxury and elegance, which we spent so much time just looking up at and admiring. Another major highlight was heading up to the large rooftop terrace, where we were treated to spectacular panoramic views over the city of Paris that provided the perfect romantic backdrop for photos. Whether you want to indulge in high-end shopping or simply soak in the grand atmosphere of the city, this place is an absolute must-visit and we cannot recommend it enough.
Witnessing the splendor of Galeries Lafayette on Sunday, 28 December 2025, was an absolute delight. This is not just a shopping destination; it is an architectural masterpiece. I spent time wandering through the streets outside to admire the festive window displays before heading inside to enjoy a lovely lunch. The highlight of the interior is undoubtedly the breathtaking neo-byzantine glass dome. Looking up at the intricate stained glass while surrounded by the holiday energy was magical. From the gourmet dining options inside to the vibrant atmosphere of the Haussmann district surrounding the building, it offers a complete Parisian experience that blends luxury with historic beauty. A perfect spot for both food lovers and architecture enthusiasts.
Unlike the main flagship store, this location is not an overwhelmingly large department store, but it offers a much more curated and modern shopping experience. A must-visit spot is the food court on the basement level (B1), which is famous for its wide selection of premium butters. Please note that the restrooms are operated on a paid basis. However, you can use them for free once if you present a valid receipt from any purchase made within the store on the same day. It’s a great place to stop by for high-quality gourmet items while strolling down the Champs-Élysées!
The store feels like it's filled with items that couldn't be sold in the main gallery in recent years. It's like an outlet for various brands. The interior design lacks any special charm or sophistication, keeping it simple and business-like. The goal is to keep customers focused on their shopping experience.
