A flawless dining experience from the stunning traditional decor to the courses prepared tableside. The waiters all brought a touch of flair and personality to the evening, and every course tasted as good as they looked. A truly wonderful experience!

I took my wife for a surprise dinner. I only have good words for the restaurant. The service provided by Emmanuel was top notch, he was professional but very friendly. We chose the menu “80 ans, en miroir”. The food quality was impeccable: my wife and I enjoyed all the plates especially the risotto and the beef fillet. Highly recommended to anybody who wants to taste French cuisine.

Le Taillevent delivered an unforgettable evening from start to finish. We opted for the "Gestes" menu, a beautiful tribute to the art of tableside service, and it did not disappoint. Watching the blue lobster (flambéed with whisky right at the table) being prepared in front of us added a real sense of theater and craftsmanship to the meal. For our main course, I had the rack of lamb with savory, which was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor, while my partner chose the pigeon roasted with herbs, which she said was one of the best preparations of pigeon she's ever had. Portions were generous throughout, and every course felt thoughtfully composed without ever feeling rushed. The service was exceptional. Attentive, polished, and precise, exactly what you'd hope for from a restaurant of this caliber. The staff struck that rare balance of being formal yet warm, anticipating our needs without ever hovering. We finished with the crepes suzette, a fitting and elegant end to a meal that felt like a true celebration of French gastronomy.

tl;dr: A fun, honest take on our dinner at Le Taillevent—where we took our non-French-food-loving palates on a $1,000 adventure that was definitely memorable, even if we were slightly out of our comfort zone! Greetings, So, we decided to take our very un-French-food-loving selves to Le Taillevent, and let’s just say it was quite the culinary expedition. If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be happily dropping $1,000 on a dinner where I wasn’t entirely sure what half the ingredients were, I might have checked my own sanity! To be fair, we were definitely operating outside of our usual "meat and potatoes" comfort zone. Some of the courses were a bit too sophisticated for these Tennessee palates, but honestly, that was half the fun of the adventure. We treated it like a high-stakes scavenger hunt for flavors we’d never encountered before. The undisputed champion of the night, however, was the vanilla custard at the end. It was so delicious that I briefly considered asking for a second one just to hide in my pocket for later. If you want an experience that’s equal parts intimidating, fancy, and undeniably "French," this is your spot. We might not be converts to the fine dining lifestyle just yet, but we had a blast trying.

Visited for my birthday with my partner and had an exceptional dining experience at Le Taillevent. The service was impeccable from start to finish, attentive without being overwhelming and the ambience felt elegant yet comfortable. It was fun to watch dishes being prepared including caviar, crepe suzette. A truly memorable experience in Paris and would love to come back again. ps. The thick wine menu was amazing !
