I booked this under that assumption it was a hotel (Hotel.com) and there was great review. This is not a hotel, its a floor in a residential building with 6 rooms. Access is complicated with code, no reception. Rooms are fine and clean. Fridge is shared with all 6 rooms and you have to put a label on your drinks. I assume this is fine if you are used to having room mates, however as I business traveller I expected a hotel (as advertised) and got a guesthouse experience.
Surprisingly great guest house. It is not a hotel as there is no 24/7 staff. You get a code to access building and room, and it's self serve apart from at breakfast. It is a great location behind a discreet huge wooden door on the street. The rooms are small but well thought out with everything needed. The beds are comfy. The breakfast is brilliant. The A/C works (bit noisy). The location is great. A place with a bit of personality that does things a bit differently. Can't fault it.
Superb location, a cool and comfortable room, and a really lovely breakfast. The staff were genuinely nice and welcoming. Even though we only stayed one night, it left a great impression — we’d happily return.
I am still scratching my head on these other reviews. We stayed for a night at this apartment BnB. The building is under construction so you have noise beginning early in the morning. The entrance / ground floor space and stairwell up to the apartment is absolutely tragic; I mean really filthy. You have FOUR doors with codes to go through before you will be inside of your room. The room itself is suitable, perhaps even slightly spacious by Paris standards but I think there are many other good options that are ACTUAL hotels that will provide better value in the surrounding area. Please also note that they have listed themselves on some of the booking sites as a 5 star hotel. This is laughable and egregiously deceptive. This is a 2 star BnB. Make no mistake. Added a photo since the property seems to be confused about how they are marketing themselves. Additionally, asking for cash for a city tax on the way out the door is not an acceptable practice.
