Nice old-style little hotel set in the centre of Versailles. the position is perfect, very close to the market and with a big selections of bars and restaurants nearby, there is a convenient parking inside. Rooms are a bit small, but clean and bed is very comfortable. Everything is vintage and you need to appreciate it if you want to stay there. prices, especially if you consider the location, are very competitive and breakfast is nice, even if the options are not too many.
I've been coming to the Cheval Rouge for over 20 years. It's a 3star former coaching inn on the corner of Versailles Market, a superb location for any visitor to Versailles, its Palace. The rooms are spacious and clean but not luxurious. The service is good. It exceeds expectation for its modest price. Step through the arch into the market square for a huge variety of restaurants and bistrots, and a vibrant market with great quality fresh produce.
