We had a relaxed light dinner and a few drinks at Bar 8, and the experience was lovely. Sasha, the Bar Manager, and Savitee provided warm and attentive service, making us feel very well looked after. The refined atmosphere at Mandarin Oriental Paris made it a perfect, easy evening. Looking forward to visiting again!

An exceptional experience at Bar 8 inside the Mandarin Oriental, Paris. From the moment I sat down, the ambiance embodied understated Parisian luxury — intimate lighting, refined design, and that effortless elegance you expect on Rue Saint-Honoré. What truly elevated the experience was Gerardo. He is the definition of outstanding service. Attentive without being intrusive, polished yet warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. He anticipated needs before they were expressed and delivered each item with precision and grace. The vodka cocktail was perfectly balanced, the San Pellegrino crisp and chilled, and even something as simple as fries with truffle mayo felt elevated in this setting. Every detail reflected intention and quality. Gerardo made the experience feel personal, seamless, and memorable — the kind of hospitality that distinguishes a great bar from a world-class one. I stopped in between watch boutiques (Rolex window-shopping in Paris is serious cardio) and ordered the gyoza and two espresso martinis — both flawless. The gyoza were crisp and perfectly seasoned, while the martinis were rich, velvety, and balanced — easily the best I’ve had in Paris. Service was smooth and attentive, with that effortless Parisian confidence.
