Our recent dinner at Le Sauvage makes us want to return for more. It was a very quiet Thursday night in July but the food was amazing and the service was equally great. Starting with the delicison Amuse-bouche and the delectable goat cottage cheese topped with a perfectly paired olive. To the Langoustine crispy raviolis that my wife called "the best thing she's ever tasted" and the Flame-Grilled sardines that were served with a gezoacho like cucumber salad that was outrageously yummy. The Yellow Pollack and the Meagre fish dishes were up to the challenge vs the appetizer and did not disappoint. And then the deserts: The Field strawberry and the Peaches and Apricots were both outstanding combination of fresh ingredients and flavors that were spot on. I should also mention that the wine pairing suggested we're spot on for both of our tastes. I could go in, but you get the point. If you're anywhere near Le Sauvage, you will do yourself a favor by enjoying a meal there. And last thing - way cheaper than a similar meal in a typical San Francisco restaurant.
I absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere is calm, cozy, and wonderfully quiet, making every visit so relaxing and enjoyable. The service is truly exceptional — the staff are always incredibly patient, warm, and enthusiastic when introducing each dish, which makes the whole dining experience feel very special. And of course, the food is delicious every single time. Everything is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. I always leave feeling happy, and this has become one of my favorite places to visit. Highly recommended!
An incredible dining experience! The tasting menu was delicate, perfectly portioned, and absolutely delicious without feeling heavy. It’s a beautifully intimate, small setting. The owner and server were incredibly welcoming, guiding us through every dish. Highly recommend this gem!
I discovered Le Sauvage 3 years ago when I was in Paris last, and my daughter and I had an amazing time trying the 5 course tasting menu. It was such a hit that when we returned to Paris this time, we knew we had to return and this time bring my wife along to enjoy. Once again we chose the 5 course tasting menu, and it was just as fun this time around. Don't hesitate - make yourself a reservation and enjoy a dinner you will never forget.
Great restaurant. Small menu with delicious options. Signature crispy langoustine ravioli is amazing. Scallops with chicory and truffle was great, even as the lemony dessert. Matching wines, by the glass, are great as well. Atmosphere is really nice. Tables have enough space while it's still cosy. Very friendly staff. A recommendation for sure!
