Really nice! Extremely good breakfast. Sweet and cool rooms as well as the furnishing and general style. The staff are very friendly and welcoming I want to stay there again the next time I come to Paris! Plus it is located in a great neighborhood.
The staff at this hotel are exceptionally kind and try their best. That being said, in my opinion customer service can never mask cleanliness. There are spider webs in the ceiling (corners) of the room, dust everywhere, hair in the bathroom etc. Yes, the design of the room is “charming” - but I was not able to use any of the charming old drawers inside the room to put my clothes because of how dusty they were. So in a way, the furniture just takes up space and is ‘inutile.’ The main staircase is not carpeted so anyone who goes up or down makes so much noise with their shoes - the noise from the staircase is non stop - though they try their best to add a second door to dampen the sound. Phone to call the reception doesn’t work. Towels and toilet paper provided is of the thinnest and cheapest quality. Shower was good, and bed was comfortable. Location was good and walkable to most things. Coffee machine provided downstairs is a great add-on. The hotel is on a quiet street and has secured parking. I know the hotel is really trying to keep their Google reviews up, but hopefully they are receptive to the feedback so they become better. Hopefully they improve their cleanliness and add some soft carpeting (or another solution) to their staircase so they get a five star review from me the next time I stay with them.
My wife and I, really enjoyed our week-long stay at La Nouvelle République. Our room at the front of the building was delightfully quiet and spacious - and clean. The bed was huge, firm and very comfortable. The shower was powerful and as hot as you could want with both the shower enclosure and the rest of the bathroom comfortably spacious. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and fluent in English. In summary, a great value hotel - and as promised, the transport links are easy and excellent (Thank you Google Maps + directions!)
Cute and inexpensive hotel in an interesting area with lots of good inexpensive places to eat and drink locally. Confused when arriving when checking in to be told there is no bar - even though there is a bar with bottles and glasses. Check in guy said we don’t serve drinks tho! Room was comfortable and a brilliant shower. Hot and powerful. The room was cleaned daily which we were grateful for. We were on the 6th floor and there is a lift. Things that could be improved. The coffee machine worked half the time we were there for a week. Wasn’t always enough toilet roll too. The socket for the kettle in the room didn’t work. But nice water in the room topped up daily. Was clean and had black out blinds to make it easier to sleep. I like the location. Bus stop around the corner. Boulangerie at the end of the street and plenty of bars cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk - thank you very much for our stay
Great boutique hotel, felt quiet but likely due to time of year, good sized & clean rooms, hot drinks in lobby were a great perk for winter season - great location too within walking distance to many restaurants . Knocked a star off for service as was completely ignored by reception upon check-in who only acknowledged my partner, quite odd. Otherwise all other staff were friendly & helpful. Hammam facilities were also a bonus feature that we enjoyed ( bookable separately)
