Maison Amara

Amara House, a magnificent, secluded yoga center, is a true hidden gem. So well concealed, in fact, that it took me almost a year after returning from living abroad to discover it… and now, I couldn't imagine life without it. This place has become my true "safe space." I go there almost every day, sometimes even twice a day—that's how good I feel there. The yoga classes are varied, of a very high standard, and taught by experienced, caring, and deeply committed instructors. You can feel their genuine desire to share, support, and help everyone progress, regardless of their level. But it's not just a yoga center. It's also a holistic space, offering workshops, retreats, treatments, and various therapies, all within a comprehensive approach to well-being. A rare haven of peace, where you come as much to practice as to recharge. Go for it!
I was lucky enough to have a massage from Céline; she enveloped me in a bubble of gentleness, warmth, and attentive listening—it was so pleasant. A huge thank you for this timeless moment.
I discovered Thai massage and it was a very pleasant surprise. Total relaxation! I was given the 1.5-hour package… which turned into 1.5 hours of pure bliss. Céline's magic fingers literally transported me to a cloud. When I left, the tension in my back and neck, which had been causing me pain, had vanished as if by magic. I highly recommend it.
This fabulous studio is found upstairs in the charming historic “Passages Antiquaires” in Versailles. While visiting from the US, my husband signed me up for one class which was very well priced and lasted for maybe almost two hours! I don’t know if that’s typically the case but the teacher was excellent, and offered great technical insight into each posture, paying very careful attention to each of us as participants. I left feeling rejuvenated, calm and with greater insight into my practice. I will be back, and highly recommend to anyone interested!
