We had such a nice stay at Hotel de Neuve. The location could not be better, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotless, the ambience is charming, and it was just a lovely neighborhood altogether. Highly recommend.
On the whole, this was not a good stay. I know that budget hotel rooms can be small in Paris, but these were really crammed in - you wouldn’t want to turn up with a large suitcase and certainly not two. Unfortunately on our first night, there was a rat in the ceiling trying to rearrange the electric cables. Paris is an old city and I live on a farm, so I’m not overly horrified by this (except for any potential fire risk), but I needed the sleep, so the next morning my very polite French speaking daughter asked if we could move to another room. The staff seemed unsurprised by our request and moved us without question. Unfortunately though, we stupidly left our phone chargers - one an expensive Apple flash charger - in the old room and when we tried to retrieve them, they had disappeared. The room didn’t appear to have been relet and there wasn’t much help from the staff, who directed us to a shop round the corner. This really annoyed me, because it’s just dishonest and very disappointing. The staff generally weren’t particularly welcoming, or helpful - they actually seemed more interested in their phones. The bathrooms were particularly tired and neither shower door in either room closed. The breakfast was ok, but the reception area where you eat it is tiny and you’d be hard pressed to sit down if every guest turned up at the same time. They have built a further seating area outside on the side of the road, but not sure how that works in the rain - maybe more building work is planned, but we won’t be returning to find out.
Petite gem! Stayed 3 nights (that unexpectedly turned into 4) - perfect location, clean, safe, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Missed my train out of Paris and had no telephone service to call the hotel. I emailed them, and they very quickly responded that they had a room available for the extra night. This hotel was a more budget friendly recommendation of Rick Steve’s, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Twin room is a bit larger with a larger bath. Side note - the AC worked perfectly!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Location is excellent. Metro is very convenient. Much to see in the Le Marais district. Hotel staff were warm and welcoming especially Sidi and Nelvim. Free and decent coffee in the lobby.
I recently stayed here for a last minute trip to Paris with my goddaughter. The staff could not have been nicer and I really appreciate their help during our stay. This was my first time staying in Marias and the neighbourhood was vibrant with lots of choices for food and shopping. Our room was clean and we could see the towers of Notre Dame and the top third of the Eiffel Tower - especially at night. We walked everywhere but when we did need the metro, there were 3 stations close by and we always felt safe walking in the neighbourhood. We will return for our next trip. Even our dog, Stella enjoyed our stay. Thank you Hotel de Neuve for a lovely stay.
