Reviews
Overall the experience was good but not as good as expected. The service was very nice, the setting very pleasant. Food comments: - the magret de canard (duck) was undercooked, it was not "rosé", it was quite raw - the sauce to go with a dessert was not fruity but rather watery, it was difficult to taste fruit The biggest deception was the after meal drink. Indeed some people like to drink coffee after their meal. Whereas others also like to enjoy a hot drink such as tea, like myself. I was offered an herbal rose tea or a Japanese sencha (yes, most clients in the restaurant apart from us were Asian). I like a plain old black tea but was told that there was noone that asked for black tea in a month and a half and therefore they forgot to have it in stock. For a Michelin star restaurant where you pay +200€ for lunch I found that comment quite surprising and left the restaurant with a somewhat disappointed feeling as what's a good meal if you can't finish it with a hot drink?
Aldéhyde gave us an anniversary dinner in Paris we will cherish for years to come. From the moment we walked in, the whole team made us feel like we were the only guests in the room. Chef Youssef Marzouk’s cuisine is nothing short of remarkable. Every dish felt like a deeply personal story, drawing on the flavors of his Tunisian childhood and heritage. The passion and creativity poured into every plate shines through in every single bite. The staff deserve every bit of equal praise. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, they made an already wonderful meal into a memorable celebration. Aldéhyde is undoubtedly one of the greatest highlights of our entire trip to Paris, and we are already dreaming about the day we are able to return. Merci infiniment to Chef Marzouk and his wonderful team for such an unforgettable evening. ♥️
The lunch was superb! Every dish a work of art and delicious. The dishes had a complex and delightful combination of flavors. I appreciated the abundance of bread to mop up the last traces of sauce from the plate - alas, no bread came for the dessert course. I cleaned the plate as best as I could with my spoon. The service was always attentive and friendly. The room we dined in was a touch warm, but the temperature improved while we were there. I hope to eat at Aldehyde the next time I come to Paris. It surpassed my expectations and was such a memorable meal.
I love how they take one ingredient and elevate the flavor! What a pleasure to dine here … original, fine and elegant flavors with a touch of Tunisian ingredients. Friendly chef and staff. Amazing wine pairing. So far, this is my favorite restaurant in Paris. The ambiance is easy and relaxed and not pretentious. No performance, no frills, just a lot of focus on the technique and flavors! Highly recommend!
