This was the best dining experience we’ve had in Paris. We started our day with lunch at a 3 star restaurant but decided to get dinner at the local 1 star place next to our hotel (Contraste) and we couldn’t be happier with the decision. The servers were excellent, the dishes were delicious, and despite having a once in a lifetime lunch- the strawberry dessert stood out as the best thing we’ve had in Paris. The cherry on top was the price compared to the quality and experience you would receive at comparable 1 star restaurants. Everyone visiting France should try Contraste. Thank you

Love this one. Much better than the Virtus and Solstice (at least on the days that I experienced). I came here first time in Jan 2023 and was surprised by the dessert (a heavy walnut cake with a surprisingly fresh lemon ice that balanced the flavor) I ordered the business lunch menu which includes two fish dishes and I prefer fish to meat so much. For me many Michelin restaurants have great couvert starter and dessert with a very so so main dish. I had the homemade drink pariing which is interesting (i’m allergic to alcohol) The business lunch menu didn’t disappoint throughout with delicately mixed and matched flavor. The bread however is a 👎👎👎 cold and flavorless

Excellent food and service. But I just found out that they charged 52 euro for 2 bottles of water. Is it normal in this restaurant? There was a call from Cotraste and explained well. Thanks for it. This was an overlooking from my side. Sorry if it causes any inconvenience to Contraste or any others. Anyway, we (my wife and me) really enjoyed this restaurant.

The food was delicious and well presented, but for a Michelin star, where expectations are higher, I thought it should have been more flavorful. All the dishes were beautifully presented, but some lacked flavor; like the Turbot and oysters, others; like the tuna were full of flavor. the meringue from the strawberry meringue dessert was very hard and crunchy. It did not melt in your mouth as I would expect. The chocolate dessert was very rich and delicious, every bit as good as you would imagine. I think this is a restaurant that very much depends on what you order, all of it was a little eclipsed by the fact that my table top was damaged and burnt. It looked dirty and smudged. I kept trying to clean it, but it go away. It felt sticky! The attention to detail is makes a Michelin star special. I thought there was lack of detail for high expectations. The restaurant was so incredibly hot, no air! Service was friendly and prompt, but a little disjointed

Every dish was beautifully presented, absolutely delicious, and full of delightful surprises. The staff were warm and attentive, and the sommelier’s recommendations were truly outstanding. The overall dining experience was simply wonderful.
