Reviews
A hidden gem in Paris for seafood. Operated by an English guy, the setting is small but cozy. Service is top notch. The Spanish cold soup is very refreshing, depth of flavor is exceptional. Thick and creamy. I originally wanted to try the soup de petit pois, but he said it wasn’t available now and recommended me this one instead. Then comes my favorite dish, carpaccio de bar(seabass carpaccio), also very fresh, simple ingredients but well executed. Lastly is the poulpe grillé(grilled octopus), the octopus is very juicy, perfectly seasoned, the potatoes with mustard sauce underneath is also delicious, goes very well with the octopus. I came here at 12nn sharp, the first customer of the day probably, so I got to have a little chat with the chef. He said he probably spent longer time here in Paris than back in London. If you are a seafood lover and looking for good food at good price, here is the place, not a doubt about it.
Went with a friend who had been before on our last night in Paris, and what a treat! We shared five dishes plus the pumpkin soup with hazelnuts, each one light, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The octopus was crispy on the outside yet tender inside. The sea bass carpaccio was exceptionally fresh and melted in the mouth. The squid at the end was pure “fresh ocean” flavor with just the right bite. A wonderful dining experience—highly recommended!
