One of the best meals I had while in Paris! Do not skip the sardine appetizer - truly some of the best fish I've ever eaten in my life. The wines were also incredibly good and it was a fun people watching spot sitting outside.
Had an amazing dining experience at Sur Mer. The seafood was fresh and delicious throughout the meal. The staff was highly attentive and recommended a fantastic Chardonnay that paired beautifully with the oysters and complemented all the other dishes perfectly. Highly recommended for seafood lovers in Paris!
If you love fish, this is one of the best places in Paris. All the menu is centered around fresh wild fish caught by local French fishermen. The chef has the rare ability to make bold associations while keeping the flavour of the great quality products at the center of the dish. In short, it was excellent.
My wife and I reserved table at Sur Mer on the recommendation of our son, Adam, who had had a meal at the restaurant in April 2025 while on business travel. When we were seated the menu was explained to us and we were assisted in making selections. We had the uniquely prepared snails that were served cold; scallops; clams; octopus; and monkfish. Each dish was prepared to highlight the seafood. The octopus was one of the best dishes that we’ve ever eaten, ever!!! I highly recommend Sur Mer to seafood lovers who crave something different, creative, and delicious! The two gentlemen who served us were excellent and knowledgeable.
Absolutely worth visiting. One of those rare places where everything just works perfectly together — the atmosphere, the wine list, the food, even the bread. The tuna tartare was an absolute masterpiece: incredibly balanced, fresh, delicate, and honestly one of the best tuna dishes I’ve had in a very long time. Every plate felt thoughtful and beautifully executed without trying too hard. The wine selection is also excellent and pairs perfectly with the seafood-focused menu. And I have to mention the bread — dangerously good. The kind of bread you keep eating long after telling yourself to stop. A truly memorable meal. If you’re in Paris and love seafood and natural wine, this place is 100% worth it ❤️
