Good location and clean beds – but the apartment itself was shockingly dirty. We stayed five nights in this accommodation. On the positive side, the beds and bathrooms were very clean. After our complaint, the staff also tried to rectify the inadequate cleaning. Unfortunately, this did not change the fact that the condition of the apartment upon our arrival was unacceptable. The floor was sticky and greasy throughout practically the entire apartment. There were traces of makeup on the walls and doors, and stains and traces of spilled liquids on the furniture. Dark hairs from the previous occupants were everywhere. Wiping the floor with a damp cloth left it black. It was obvious to us that the floor had not been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. The sofa and seating areas were particularly unpleasant: In and under the sofa and chairs, we found not only traces of spilled drinks but also shards of glass, several balloons, a lighter, and a laser pointer. A T-shirt belonging to the previous occupants was still in the washing machine. The stairs to the upper floor and the handrail were sticky and had a clearly visible and palpable layer of grime. The carpet in one of the bedrooms was so dirty that, in our opinion, it could no longer be cleaned, but only replaced. Kitchen: Virtually all the dishes in the kitchen were greasy. For accommodation designed for about ten people, there were also surprisingly few glasses. The kitchen is otherwise rather sparsely equipped. Anyone planning to stay here shouldn't expect to be able to cook elaborate meals. We found it somewhat absurd that upon arrival, there was only one dishwasher tablet provided for our five-day stay. The dishwasher also had no salt. Under these circumstances, it's hardly surprising that dishes left by previous guests weren't properly cleaned or remained stained despite using dish soap. Toilet paper is also apparently not provided for the entire stay and must be purchased when it runs out. Tea and coffee are available – but only while supplies last. Bathrooms: As mentioned, the bathrooms themselves were thankfully clean. However, the drain in the first-floor bathroom smelled so strongly that a technician had to come. The drain was plugged, rendering that shower unusable. Handling of our complaint: After our complaint about the cleanliness, the staff was very helpful and cleaned again. We would like to expressly acknowledge this positive aspect. However, accommodation in this price range should, of course, be properly cleaned before the guests arrive – especially when it comes to things like sticky floors, previous guests' hair, or broken glass in the living area. For the inconvenience, we ultimately received a discount of approximately 4% on the total price. Practical tip for future guests: There is a HEMA hardware store in the same building. You can buy cleaning supplies, cloths, and rubber gloves there if you prefer to be a bit cleaner. Whether you want to finish cleaning yourself in accommodation of this price range is a matter of personal preference. We would not stay here again.
I'd been wanting to take a solo trip to Paris for a while, and I'm so glad I chose Líbere Apartments in Paris. I felt safe, comfortable, and completely independent. The neighborhood is lovely for morning strolls before heading to the museums. The apartment was spotless and had everything I needed. A very different experience from a hotel—much more peaceful and personal.
Third time in Paris, first time trying Líbere — wish I'd found it sooner. No more overpriced tiny hotel rooms. The space, the kitchen, the neighbourhood. Just better.
Líbere Paris has become our go-to place in Paris. We went there for a birthday and had a perfect four days. The Haussmann district is exactly as we imagined: elegant, well-connected, with brasseries on every corner. The apartment itself is very well designed; nothing is lacking. We even cooked one evening to avoid the tourists! What I appreciated most was the privacy, which you never get in a hotel.
