I found this restaurant by accident but I have to say hands down the best meal I have had in my visits to Paris. Jugartha was very polite and attentive, made great food and wine recommendations. The duck literally melts in your mouth… will be coming back for sure!

I came to this restaurant for lunch, and it was a lovely experience. The owner is so kind and friendly. The walls show the history of the restaurant, which I absolutely adore. It's beautiful when you know you are being welcomed into an establishment of a family. There are cute duck decorations all around the place. The owner is so attentive and brings out the food at the perfect time. I had the Trilogie de foie gras and duck confit. The plating is on par with fine dining. Love the little floral decorations! The sauces were so delicious and refreshing. I like the foie gras poele, it goes really well with the fresh crunchy bread. I have to admit I was being a bit adventurous, because I am not a fan of alcohol, so the foie gras with rum was not to my palette, but I can tell it was made exquisitely and the rum sauce is very delicate. Someone who enjoys the taste will definitely love it. The texture was smooth and perfect! Foie gras confit was also served in a generous portion, it tasted fresh and with much flavors of the poultry. For people who appreciate this version of foie gras, I think you will also love it! The duck confit has a really crispy skin, that is my favorite part of the dish. The potatoes were well dressed in spices and super delicious. The foie gras and bread were quite filling, so I wish I could finish the amazing potatoes. I saw some pictures from other reviews of the Tournedos Rossini, and maybe that is something I should get next time. I think a slight regret for the duck confit is that the underside of the meat might be a bit too dry. Perhaps braised a bit too long, the meat in the area was tough and flaky. When I ate it, the fibers got stuck in my throat and made me cough (which I think, scared the owner, my apologies. Good to be cautious of coughing tourists! He was very polite). I have tried duck confit at different calibers of restaurants, and there was only a few that didn't have dried up bottom. You have to be really lucky for the chef to get it perfectly juicy. Anyway, I probably embarrassed myself. The food is still really tasty, and feels like a cozy family run restaurant that gives its best to deliver their delicacies to their visitors.

I stopped in for lunch with my sister on a whim and we grabbed a table outside. We weren’t expecting much since we had simply stumbled upon it, but it completely exceeded our expectations. We shared the escargot and the fish, and honestly, it might have been the best meal I had on this trip. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was outstanding, and the whole experience was fantastic. I absolutely loved this place!

We found this wonderful family style restaurant by accident. Each dish we ordered was superb in taste and presentation. The food is first class and the prices reflect it but not too much. We had our 3 year old grandson with us and they go out of their way to include him. From entrees to plats to desert we would not have changed a thing. Best meal I have enjoyed in all of France.

We came to have dinner at Le Bistro du Périgord on the recommendation of our local friends. We wanted to enjoy good French cuisine. The dining room is fairly small and intimate, decorated with photos of celebrities who have visited the restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. After our pastis drinks, we chose the three‑course menus. For starters, we both had excellent Escargots de Bourgogne. My main course was Medaillon de rumsteack, which was nearly perfect, while my companion had Magret de canard, which was good but nothing particularly special. For dessert, the Millefeuille pommes and the Café Gourmand were both delicious. The restaurant’s wine list included good options also available in half bottles. In terms of price level, the restaurant is upper middle class but not excessively expensive. Overall, our dining experience here was very good, and we can recommend it to anyone who appreciates French cuisine.
