Start at the Saint-Germain-des-Pres Church for your first tasting of chouquette, a French baked specialty. Then, visit a 200-year-old chocolate factory which specializes in premium chocolates. Then its time to taste a macaron, an almond based cookie created in Italy and brought to France with Catherine de Medicis's chef. Afterwards, you'll be invited to enjoy a crêpe! Since 1830, this next boutique has kept its delicate recipe of calissons, a crushed mixture of candied melons and almonds placed on a sheet of unleavened bread and covered with a thin layer of royal frosting. Then its time to taste the “kouign amann”, which means “butter cake” in Breton. This dessert is also known as Bretons’ crêpes.
