Immerse yourself in the rolling vineyards of Northern Burgundy, accompanied throughout the day by a wine expert guide, where the Chablisien and Auxerrois regions showcase Chardonnay at its finest. Shaped by Kimmeridgian limestone and a rich winemaking heritage, these terroirs produce some of the world’s most expressive white wines.
Your day begins with hotel pick-up in Paris by a wine expert. Settle into a comfortable minivan and enjoy a fresh croissant as you travel through the scenic countryside. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the history, terroir, and time-honored techniques that make Chablis and Auxerrois wines so exceptional.
Start your wine journey at a prestigious Chablis domaine, where you will explore the vineyards and cellars under the guidance of an expert winemaker. Learn about the production process of world-class Chardonnays and enjoy your first tasting of the day, discovering the delicate aromas and crisp elegance that make Chablis famous.
Then, enjoy a scenic drive through the vineyards and stop at a beautiful viewpoint to taste a glass of wine. During this tasting, your guide will share insights about the grape varieties, growing conditions, and vine work, while you take time to admire the stunning Burgundy landscapes.
No wine journey is complete without gastronomy. Enjoy a traditional Burgundy lunch either at a winemaker's table or at a local restaurant in a warm and authentic setting. Your meal is thoughtfully paired with local wines, allowing you to taste different styles and further understand the region’s diversity.
After lunch, visit a smaller, family-run estate in the Auxerrois region. Here, the approach to winemaking is more intimate and hands-on. Meet passionate vintners, explore their unique vineyard plots, and savor another tasting, this time experiencing a more personal and artisanal style of wine, including whites and perhaps a local red from Irancy or Saint-Bris.
At the end of the day, return to Paris with a drop-off in the center of the city (Hotel de Ville) and unforgettable memories of Northern Burgundy, its wines, and the stories of the people who make them.
