Description
This Travel Sketchbook art class is held in groups of 3 to 6 participants and taught in French and English. Each week, lessons take place in a different neighborhood of Paris. You may join a single session or attend multiple classes.
The meeting point is a cafe at 9:30 AM, where drawing begins before moving around the neighborhood or continuing indoors at a cafe if the weather is cold. Plan for a cafe budget and possible museum entry fees if indoor sessions are held.
Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation followed by a meeting point email a few days before. Keep the instructor Pauline’s phone number handy in case you are delayed.
Required Art Supplies
- Paper sketchbook (A4 or standard photocopy size recommended)
- Watercolor box, small water jar with lid, watercolor brush
- Rag or kitchen paper, pencil(s), pencil sharpener
- Water-resistant black pen (e.g., Pigma Micron pen)
- Optional: nib holder, nib and India ink; felt pens; color pencils; glue stick
Additional practical items include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, warm clothing in winter, comfortable walking shoes, and a water bottle.
Art supplies can be purchased from the “Gifts & Goodies” section on Pauline's website.
Additional Information
- Children and teenagers under 18 can join if accompanied by an adult
- In case of extreme heat or bad weather, classes will be moved to the studio
- The class involves walking, sitting on benches or the ground, and standing
- A cafe budget and museum tickets should be planned for indoor sessions
