Experience the magic of the Loire Valley on this full-day excursion from Paris, accompanied throughout the day by a wine expert guide, combining iconic Renaissance architecture and the discovery of local wines. Your day begins with pick-up from your hotel in Paris. Meet your guide and settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned van. On the way to the Loire Valley, enjoy a flaky croissant while your guide shares stories about the region, its vineyards, and its long-standing wine traditions.
Your first stop is the magnificent Château de Chambord. Enjoy an audio-guided visit and uncover the secrets of this architectural masterpiece, constructed by King Francis I of France in the early 16th century. Take your time exploring the château’s grand halls, its iconic staircase, and the beautiful outdoor surroundings.
Back in the van, enjoy a scenic drive through the lush, rolling vineyards of Touraine, Vouvray, and Montlouis-sur-Loire. Stop at a beautiful viewpoint to enjoy a glass of local wine, while your guide explains the grape varieties, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc and the growing conditions, as you take in the colorful sunlit vineyards.
Enjoy free time for lunch in the charming town of Amboise, where Leonardo da Vinci is buried. Choose a local restaurant or café and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of this historic Loire Valley town.
In the afternoon, visit a family-run winery to discover an intimate approach to winemaking. Explore the estate and enjoy a tasting of red and white wines, experiencing authentic Loire Valley wines that are largely unavailable in the rest of the world.
At the end of the day, you will be dropped off in a well-connected area of central Paris, a perfect way to conclude a memorable day in the Loire Valley filled with culture, landscapes, and wine.
