Description
Take a moment out of time and plunge your hands into the earth for a first discovery of turning in a small group.
For 2h30, I welcome you to my intimate workshop, a warm space overlooking the garden, to introduce you to this craft.
We'll start with an introduction to ceramics, its history and its role in our daily lives. Then it's time to get hands-on!
After a demonstration of the essential gestures, you'll take your place behind the wheel to shape your first pieces. Whether it's a small bowl, a cup or any other shape that will come to life under your fingers, the aim here is not perfection but the pleasure of experimentation.
With a small group of no more than four people, I take care to guide you individually so that you can fully enjoy the experience.
Location: My studio is on rue de Ménilmontant, Paris. Accessible by bus 96 (Henri Chevreau stop) or metro Ménilmontant (line 2) and Gambetta (line 3).
Public: Open to everyone aged 16 and over.
Your pieces: You can choose whether or not to keep your pieces made during the workshop, for €8 per piece. You can select up to three pieces, which I will carefully fire and glaze. They'll be ready to pick up a few weeks later, to keep a tangible souvenir of this creative interlude. If shipping is necessary, it will be at your expense.
Includes
Your registration includes access to the workshop, all necessary materials and the clay for your creations. I'll be with you every step of the way, offering personalized advice so you can make the most of the experience.
Excludes
Firing and glazing are not included in the price. If you wish to keep your creations, I offer this service for 8€ per piece, covering both firings and glazing. If you can't come back to collect your finished pieces, we can send them by post (shipping costs extra).
