Description

The tour starts at 07:30 with hotel pick up in Paris and departure to Caen, a 3-hour drive (240 km) including one rest stop.

From 10:30 to 12:00, visit the Caen Memorial and Museum, France’s leading World War II museum located in the British Sword Beach sector. The museum provides an overview of the Battle of Normandy and insight into the personal stories of those involved.

At 12:00 depart to Arromanches-les-Bains, approximately 30 km away (0.5 hours) through scenic countryside and villages. From 12:30 to 13:30, enjoy lunch and explore this small seaside town known for its former artificial Mulberry Harbour, a key component of the British Gold Beach landings.

Between 13:30 and 14:30, visit the 360 Circular Cinema on a hilltop overlooking the bay, where a detailed documentary about the 100 days of the Battle of Normandy and Operation Overlord is shown.

At 14:30 depart to the Normandy American Cemetery & Visitor Center, about a 20 km drive (0.5 hours). From 15:00 to 16:10, visit the cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach, resting place of 9,387 U.S. soldiers and the Wall of the Missing with 1,557 names. The visitor center houses a museum focused on the Battle of Normandy.

Walk over to the Overlord Museum at 16:10 for a 30-minute visit. This nearby museum displays World War II artifacts including tanks, weapons, vehicles, a V-1 missile, and personal belongings, illustrating the D-Day experience.

At 16:45, depart for Omaha Beach, just 5 km away (5–10 minutes). Arrive between 16:50 and 17:20 to learn about the sacrifices of the 34,000 men who landed here. Omaha Beach is the most visited D-Day landing beach.

At 17:20, leave for Pointe du Hoc (10 km, 15 minutes). From 17:30 to 18:30 explore Pointe du Hoc, a cliff between Utah and Omaha beaches that served as a strategic German gun battery fortified with concrete casemates and part of the Atlantic Wall defenses.

Depart back to Paris at 18:30 for the 3.5-hour return trip (300 km), with an optional stop on request.
