Boutique Hôtel de la Place des Vosges sits in Paris's Marais district, offering a blend of historical significance and modern comfort. Situated at 12 Rue de Birague, this boutique hotel is housed in a building dating back to 1605, originally serving as royal stables. The hotel holds a place in the Base Mérimée for architectural heritage, highlighting its antique furniture, precious marbles, winding staircases, parquet floors, and original exposed wooden beams. Guests have the opportunity to stay in any of its sixteen cozy rooms, with room sizes ranging from 15 to 100 square meters. Each space balances the allure of traditional Paris with the amenities expected in a modern hotel room.

The hotel's history is as rich as its decor. Once inspiring the renowned author Victor Hugo, the rooms maintain a classic aristocratic charm with modern conveniences provided for guests' ease and enjoyment. The hotel's dedication to preserving its historic charm is matched by eco-friendly practices, using environmentally considerate cleaning products and offering cotton bed linens washed on-site to save energy.

The staff is known for their dedication and multilingual capabilities, offering 24/7 reception service intended to enhance guests' comfort. The hotel is also notable for being the first to introduce quilts as a standard in hotel rooms, creating a cozy and comfortable environment for each visitor. Though the building does not yet offer facilities for guests with physical disabilities, it maintains a commitment to providing a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Breakfast is a traditional affair that includes items such as baguettes, freshly baked croissants, cheese, and various beverages. This is served without time constraints, allowing guests to enjoy their morning meal at leisure. While the hotel provides a serene retreat, it also enjoys a history of hosting notable figures, with discretion remaining a priority for high-profile guests.

The location of the hotel is great, next to the park and also lots of restaurants and bars nearby, you can get almost anything you need. The hotel is in a very old building so The room is quite small. Our room is facing to the street and it’s a bit noisy at night or weekend becasue the bars just downstairs and ppl stays until very late. If you have sleep problems, you need to think about it . But otherwise the hotel is generally ok.

Wow you could not find a better location. Half a block from the Place Des Vosges square. Yael greeted us warmly and taught us all we needed to know about the hotel workings and the room. Rooms are charming, albeit small, as most rooms in Paris are. Note that there is a small lift, but it only goes from the second floor, so you have to carry your bags up the first flight of stairs.

We were lucky to find this lovely hotel on a superb location. It also stood out to us for the kind and professional service. Our room was lovey and light, and cozy in both senses of the word: charming and compact. We did have our 9 year old sleeping on an extra bed. Recommended.
