We stayed in the Elena Sorolla suite for 4 nights with our three year old, and the experience was perfection. This suite is like a little apartment in the most beautiful location. The street is quiet and safe and centrally located. The room itself is a dream. It’s clean and comfortable with so much room. I can’t say enough about the suite itself. We were shocked at how much space we had, considering everything in Paris is so snug. My parents had the regular superior room, and I wouldn’t recommend that one. It’s beautiful and clean, but way too small. The service was impeccable. Staff was sweet and professional, so attentive. We will stay here again.

If you are looking for a hotel that hits the absolute sweet spot in Paris, this is it. The Maison Colbert is tucked away on a quiet, picture-perfect street in the Latin Quarter near Notre Dame, meaning you get total peace and quiet at night, but you are still just steps from the metro, amazing restaurants, and shopping. It honestly felt like a hidden neighborhood sanctuary right in the middle of everything. Yes, the rooms are on the cozier side but it is Paris, after all. The hotel was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and exactly what we needed to recharge after walking miles around the city. What really elevates this place, though, is the team. They are genuinely warm, attentive, and awesome to chat with. A massive, heartfelt thank you to Theresa, who gave us the warmest welcome on day one and brought so much kindness to our stay every single day. We also appreciated the hospitality of Anthony, Raul, Bunmi, Marco, and Sophia. Make sure you don't skip the full-service breakfast. Waking up to fresh-baked pastries and an excellent morning menu quickly became our favorite daily ritual, made even better by the attentive, friendly, and eager-to-please serving staff. We had a flawless stay here and are already telling all our friends and family they need to book this spot.

A superb boutique luxury hotel on a quiet street near the Seine. You couldn't ask for a more scenic and walkable property that is still so serene. The left bank is our favorite area to stay in general because it is less crowded than the shopping-heavy right bank, but you can walk or metro anywhere and return to your calm abode at the end of the day. The staff were all trilingual, as it is a Spanish brand, speaking English as well. Margot and Aldo at breakfast provided warm and attentive service. Montserrat, Teresa, and Raul at the front desk were so helpful, including using Melia’s connections to get us tickets to Musee d’Orsay when the public website was sold out. Well worth a few Euros commission for the convenience if you like to keep your plans flexible. The Elena Sorona suite was gorgeous. Only two things could improve it: adding a couple of standing lamps in the seating area and bedroom, as it can be a bit dark at night with the ceiling lights alone, and replacing the wobbly telescope at the window overlooking the beautiful Notre Dame with a comfy seat and ottoman. The tripod for the telescope is not really stable and fell over every time the wind blew, so we had to collapse it. For those who use a wheelchair or have accessibility concerns, the staff mentioned that there is a fully accessible suite you can book by contacting the hotel, and the hotel restaurant is on a flat level.

We stayed here for 10 days in April 2025 during a couples trip to Paris, and it truly felt like a trip of a lifetime. We booked the stay through Costco Travel, and the hotel completely exceeded our expectations. After a very long overnight journey to Paris, we arrived at the hotel extremely early in the morning. Even though it was early, the staff welcomed us warmly and had fresh croissants that had just come out of the oven. They were honestly the best croissants we have ever had. After traveling for so long, that small moment of hospitality made a huge impression. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything felt polished and thoughtfully prepared for guests. Throughout our stay the entire staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful. The front desk and concierge team were excellent whenever we needed directions, recommendations, or help getting around the city. It also made things very easy that all of the staff spoke great English. The hotel restaurant was also very good and convenient after long days exploring Paris. Service was great and the food quality was impressive. One of the best parts of this hotel is the location. It is in an incredible spot for exploring the city. It is just a short walk to Notre Dame Cathedral, the Seine River, the metro, and the famous Shakespeare and Company bookstore. Being able to walk along the river and easily access public transportation made it the perfect home base for our trip. If we are lucky enough to visit Paris again, we would absolutely stay in this same neighborhood and would gladly choose this hotel again. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish and a place we will always remember. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Paris.

We were in Paris for just a couple of days to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We chose the hotel very carefully, as we wanted something special. The location, the building itself, the room design, and the cleanliness were all excellent. However, there were a number of negative details that spoiled the overall impression. The service reveals a lack of staff training in small but important ways. Let me give a few examples. At breakfast, they ask which tea you would like and then bring a different one. In a room prepared for two guests, some toiletries are provided in only one set. After the first housekeeping service, one of the bathrobes was missing. Because of these small details, there is a feeling of inattentiveness toward guests. But one moment surprised us greatly. During check-in, in conversation, we mentioned that we had come to Paris to celebrate our birthdays. Although we did not ask for anything, the staff member said that on the birthday they would “put something in our room.” In reality, unfortunately, my husband was not even congratulated verbally. Such strange empty promises and inattentive service are certainly not what one expects from a five-star hotel. As a result, our stay did not feel special, and we left with a sense that the price of the room did not match the level of service provided.
