An excellent little restaurant with great ambience. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and personal. For such a crowded and busy area of the city, you get the feel that this is a neighborhood secret. The food is exquisite and presents a unique regional cuisine at great value.
Unassuming cafe in Marais, but the pork chop was to die for. It’s absolutely the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s cooked all the way, but the meat was very tender, juicy, and flavorful! I don’t know how they cooked it, but it’s incredible.
Fantastic Corsican cuisine; enjoyed every bite of every dish I had. The staff was also extremely friendly but just a bit too busy catering to all the tables. For starters the lentils were amazing; such a juicy and tasty dish for something that is usually not so exciting. The cote de boeuf for main was fantastic, paired beautifully with a potato purée. My only criticism was that the portion was a bit small; I think you definitely need a starter. These guys are so traditional Corsican thy even serve Pietra beer!
Lovely dinner at this restaurant, we did a last minute reservation, we were promptly sitted and served, very nice food and drinks, fast and courteous service. Very flexible with dish preparation taking into consideration allergies.
It was our second day in Paris, on a cold, rainy December evening, and we were craving something comforting yet authentically French. We walked into L’Alivi without a reservation, and even though the restaurant was busy, they kindly found us a table. The service was incredibly friendly and efficient, making us feel welcome right away. And the food - absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor and truly hit the spot on a chilly evening. We savored every bite. A wonderful dining experience and a place we would happily return to. Highly recommended!
