Well balanced, flavourful, very nice staff, and very nice space. I had seared watermelon with smoked tofu with bulgur on a seed basted cream. Asked the staff about the story of the building and was treated to a little brief history of how it was built as early as the 14th century and renovated in the 17th. There was both a vegan starter and a main, but I don’t remember if there was desert since I didn’t look properly. The service was amazing too. Note that the menu is rotated frequently, but seems to always have vegan options, so I’d call ahead and ask what they have if you’re unsure you’ll like it.
This was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The history of the place is super interesting and the service and is wonderful. The wine was excellent and our server was knowledgeable about what to serve with our food so the pairing was excellent. I also appreciate the amount of vegan option available while still being elevated!
Lovely experience in a great location. We enjoyed reading the story of the four centuries-old houses that host the dining spaces. Excellent meal, great wine pairings, reasonably responsive service. We would recommend.
After arriving at the restaurant, I can completely understand the relatively high review. The setting was cosy and intimate with a lot of characters resulting from the original building structure. The ambience was undeniably amazing! I was also very impressed with the service level delivered by the staff located at level 2. Having said that, the quality and taste of food matter a lot to me. And this is where the letdown was especially when I measured it against the price point. I ordered 2 starters (Escargot/ Squid and Cuttle fish with Chorizo) and 1 main (Pork Tenderloin). Unfortunately there was a couple of sandy escargots served and the cuttlefish/ squid dish was also a tad normal (underwhelming). As for the main course- Pork Tenderloin, it was properly executed(perfectly well cooked) but noting extraordinary.
We had a wonderful Valentine’s dinner at Le Coupe-Chou. The entire evening felt special from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm and charming — perfect for a romantic night out. Dinner was absolutely wonderful. Each course was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Our waiter was attentive without ever being intrusive, and we truly enjoyed interacting with him throughout the evening. His professionalism and friendly personality added to the experience and made the night feel even more personal. Most importantly, my wife and I had a fantastic time celebrating Valentine’s Day here. It was a memorable evening in a beautiful setting, and we would gladly return on our next visit to Paris.
