The atmosphere of this place is magnificent. It has that small, charming, classic French feeling that makes it incredibly easy to settle in and enjoy yourself. We ended up staying for five hours just drinking, which says everything about how comfortable and enjoyable it was to be there. What really stands out about this place is not so much the food or the wine, but the feeling of being there. The food was average, and the wine was good, but nothing especially remarkable compared with other places. The real highlight is the atmosphere: the music, the lively room, the people, and the whole romantic and charismatic energy of the place. It felt warm, full of life, and genuinely special. I had a great time, and even though I would not come back especially for the food, I would absolutely return for the ambience alone. It is one of those places that wins you over because of how it makes you feel.
Everything was delicious, and our waiter was the essence of Parisian graciousness. We had the foie gras, the beef tartare, the butternut squash, and the carrot soup — would recommend all. Excellent vegetarian options!

Today I had the opportunity to enjoy a most delicious meal at Le Caveau du Palais. It's November 1st and most of the city is celebrating La Toussaint, or All Saints Day. While strolling through the city, I happend upon this quaint little restaurant tucked away in a quiet little park off the main streets. The smells beckoned me so I stopped for a cappuccino. The special, a pork loin dish with dauphinoise potatoes sat upon a bed of spiced mustard cream and a basket of soft bread with a crunchy crust called to me. Thirty minutes later, I sat back with an empty plate wiped shiny clean with the delicious bread. I've been in paris for 5 days and I can unequivocally say that this was the best meal I've taken thus far. I would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant for the exquisite food, friendly service and very good price.
