Visited July 30, 2026. My husband & I decided to try Onyx for tonight's dinner before our flight home tomorrow and we are glad we did. Our server Emma is pleasant and attentive. She checks for our food allergy before we placed our order and gives details of the dishes being served. Excellent food. Will come back in our future Paris trips.
It is with great pleasure that I write this review for Onyx, a place that captured me from the very first moment. Entering Onyx means immersing yourself in an environment of rare elegance: a beautiful, extremely refined and meticulously curated venue that immediately conveys a sense of authentic class without ever feeling cold or detached. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and of the highest level — perfect for a special evening. What truly made the experience unforgettable, however, is the staff. Kind, warm, welcoming, and attentive, they made me feel like a guest in their home rather than just a customer. Every moment was handled with discretion and genuine cordiality, making the evening even more enjoyable. As for the food, as an Italian accustomed to excellent cuisine from my homeland, I can say with complete sincerity that Onyx served the best meal of my life. The flavors, the technique, the quality of the ingredients, and the emotion that each dish conveyed deeply moved me. It is a cuisine of the highest level, capable of stirring real emotion — something far from obvious. Tonight, I was genuinely moved. For all these reasons, I can only award 5 stars (and if it were possible, I would give 6). Onyx is a high-level restaurant in Paris, truly deserving of a Michelin star, which I hope will arrive very soon. I will definitely return — in fact, I can’t wait to do so. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, elegant, and deeply satisfying gastronomic experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the entire Onyx team. We had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Onyx in Paris! We chose the five-course tasting menu, and it was stunning, every single course was sophisticated, tasteful, and beautifully prepared. The highlight for me was the amazing apricot ice cream dessert, which was a total standout. The staff were super nice and the service was top-notch. As English speakers, we really appreciated that everything was in English, including a detailed description of every course, which was incredibly helpful. Our only minor issue was the temperature. We visited in June during a heatwave, and the first floor felt relatively warm. Ironically, the second floor was actually cooler than the first floor! Apart from that, everything was perfect. Overall, it was a truly great experience, even with the summer heat, and I highly recommend it!
I dined alone here during my first visit to Paris and had an amazing experience! The food, presentation, and atmosphere of the restaurant were top notch. I ordered from the carte blanche menu, as I loved the idea of a surprise meal prepared by the chefs. It included an amuse bouche, two fish, one meat (lamb) and desert. Emma, my server, was an excellent “companion” to my meal. She explained each dish and asked for my feedback after each course. This created an opportunity for us to exchange opinions about the food, which enhanced my experience, especially as a woman dining alone. My birthday was recently and a few staff stopped by to quietly wish me a happy birthday. It was a delightful time, and I really appreciated my evening here. Thank you, Emma and team!
Amazing experience at Onyx! The food was outstanding, everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent from start to finish. A special thanks to Alex, who looked after our table with great professionalism. His recommendations were spot on and made our dining experience even better. If you're looking for great food and exceptional hospitality, Onyx is definitely worth visiting. We'll certainly be coming back!
