Absolutely the best place for steak in Paris. Staff helpful, good menu & good prices. Steak cooked to perfection as were the chips, if you visit Paris you have to visit !!!
We had a first class experience at this venerable Paris establishment, we were promptly seated at our classic bistro booth by our very friendly and professional waiter. We started with some wine and an expertly made Americano cocktail, a delicious bread with sweet French butter was served. We started with the obligatory and unparalleled French onion soup, the flavors were intense and layered, my wife said it was the best she had ever had and she has had them all over the globe. We also had an excellent sting bean and mushroom salad that was perfectly seasoned. Our main meals consisted of a wonderful tenderloin cut that was cooked exactly medium rare, tasted on point and melted in your mouth, it came with a wonderful side dish of homemade mashed potatoes and au jus to pour on top, we also had the beef Bourguignon which was unlike anything that I have ever eaten or seen, a masterpiece!! We topped it all off with an incredible serving of house profiteroles with a hot dark chocolate sauce served over the top. This was one of the most memorable meals that I have ever had.
The atmosphere is amazing and very cozy, but at the same time very lively! I recommend to book in advance because the place isn’t enormous. Amazing and efficient service, you immediately get bread when you are seated and as soon as you order you get almost immediately served. Moreover we have found the staff all sooo kind, willing to help us in the food decision. The food is specular, I strongly recommend the onion soup and the french fries!!’
This is truly a retro bistro. The location easy to find and reservations were available on the same day. Walking in to a friendly staff and we were seated in the back section. The staff welcome you in French and English and are very warm. We ordered some traditional dishes and all were excellent. The chef walked around and checked with us to confirm our satisfaction… the team work at this restaurant is incredible. Check the photos … the steak was a perfect temperature! Thank you for a memorable experience.
We visited Chez Savy as a party of three and had a really enjoyable evening. We only waited about five minutes for a table, though I’d definitely recommend pre-booking as it fills up quickly. The duck pâté starter was absolutely delicious, we ended up asking for a second serving because it was that good. For mains, I had the steak which was slightly underdone for my medium preference, but still tender and flavorful. The wine selection was very good and paired nicely with the dishes. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for in a Parisian bistro, cozy, lively, and authentically French without the usual touristy feel. Service was efficient, and the whole experience felt relaxed yet well looked after. A solid 4-star spot for classic French dining in Paris. Highly recommend for those wanting a traditional bistro experience.
