Reviews
The ambience and the decor of the restaurant is quite relaxing and peaceful. the waiters and waitresses are surprisingly nice and helpful except the one guy in white shirt. We had a nice evening between friends. When it came to actual dining I would rate the food presentation 9 /10, the service 8/10, the food and the flavours 5/10, wine selection 4/10, menu options 3/10 and the overall pricing 2/10.
This wasn't just a meal, it was an experience--the food, the service, the ambiance... This is our third trip to Paris and not once had we had the opportunity to try bouillabaisse. We made sure we would on this trip and that is why we chose La Mediterranée. Once we checked in, the owner/hostess assigned a waitress to us and made sure made she knew I was lactose sensitive (as stated on my reservation). Our waitress advised me which dishes would be fine for my lactose sensitivity. (Thank you for taking care of me!) She also recommended a white wine which paired perfectly with our bouillabaisse. We started with the baby artichoke salad (for my husband) and seabass carpaccio for me. Both were light and delicious--but oh my... sprinkling buckwheat on the carpaccio made it positively addicting!! We both enjoyed the bouillabaisse, which was served with rouille and croutons. The bouillabaisse tasted earthy and bright at the same time. What a great experience for our first bouillabaisse--how are we ever going to find one this good in the U.S.?!
We ate here for lunch and it really did not disappoint. We ordered the Bouillabaisse, which was recommended as the chef’s specialty, and it was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had the pistachio millefeuille, which was very fresh, light, and fluffy. The service was excellent throughout. The staff were friendly and attentive, always arriving at the right time with everything we needed. The valet parking is also a great added convenience. The atmosphere is calm and not too noisy, making it perfect for a relaxed meal. The decor is tasteful without being overly fancy, which made it ideal for a nice family lunch. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely be coming back for other occasions.
We had a wonderfull time yesterday evening. We asked for a quiet place and received a perfect spot. The reception was very attentive and the food superb. Absolutely the place to go.
We came for the bouillabaisse and it was delicious. I really enjoyed them bringing additional servings of the soup base too when the soup part got low but we still had a lot of fish and potatoes left to eat. The aioli was tasty too! Also really enjoyed the radishes and butter to start. My one small complaint was that I didn’t get to taste my wine before it was poured.
