One of our favorite restaurant experiences of our trip to Paris. Incredibly authentic French restaurant with open fire cooking. It’s like a French steakhouse where meat is perfectly cooked right there before your eyes. Small and very cozy. Incredible service. No attitude. It’s like eating in someone’s home right in the middle of the Marais. Everyone was happy with their food. I had a fabulous cheese plate and great omelette. Meat eaters were ecstatic with their choices. Enjoyed drink menu and discovered yellow Chartreuse. Highly recommended if you want to try something herbal and very Ftench.

If you’re looking for one of the most authentic French steak experiences in Paris, Robert et Louise in Le Marais is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm aroma of wood-fire grilling and the cozy charm of an old Parisian bistro. Watching the chefs cook the steaks over an open fireplace is an experience in itself and sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. The star of the experience was the entrecôte. Perfectly cooked, beautifully charred on the outside, and incredibly tender and juicy inside, every bite was packed with rich, smoky flavor that only a real wood fire can create. The quality of the beef truly shines, needing little more than a sprinkle of salt to highlight its natural taste. The accompanying sautéed potatoes were crispy, buttery, and the perfect complement to the steak. The rustic atmosphere, exposed wooden beams, communal tables, and friendly service make you feel like you’ve stepped into old-world Paris. It isn’t a flashy restaurant, and that’s exactly what makes it special. It’s focused on exceptional food, tradition, and genuine hospitality. If you’re visiting Le Marais and love steak, don’t miss the entrecôte at Robert et Louise. It’s easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in Paris and a meal I’ll remember long after my trip. I can’t wait to come back!

Our final meal in Paris was here and it was an amazing one. We started off with an order of escargot followed by the rib steak for 2 (which was cooked to perfection), potatoes, and green beans. Our server recommended a great bottle of red wine to accompany our dinner with. I’ll be back in Paris in a few weeks and I’m already looking forward to returning.

If you like your steak rare, this is the place for you for a value meal for a kg of rib for 70 euros that comes with potatoes and salad. The salad dressing is very tasty. The potatoes are good if they’re crispy but not all were crispy. The meat had a lot of very tough areas but overall fine. We like our meat medium rare so they took it back and cooked it just a bit more. It’s served with mustard and salt. My initial thought was 3 stars but understand that this is a value establishment. Many people really enjoy this place.

Came here for dinner and ordered the escargots, wild shrimp, and duck breast. The escargots were extremely tender and delicious. The olive oil in the shells was perfect for dipping with the bread. The wild shrimp were very large and perfectly cooked. The green beans were lightly seasoned and the salad had a light dressing, both very tasty as well. The duck breast was cooked perfectly to medium rare and not chewy at all. The sauce was slightly sweet and complimented the duck. The potatoes were slightly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.
